Why are some lakes pink?
A pink lake is a lake that has a red or pink color that is often caused by the presence of salt tolerant algae. Algae is a moss that grows in lakes with specific bacteria and archaea which may vary from lake to lake.It makes the color pink as a result, and they are very cool. The environment has a lot of salt and algae in it .
Australia is home to several pink lakes, but there are others around the world like in Senegal and Spain. There are about 49 pink lakes in the world or more. Australia is home to several pink lakes that have gotten more tourists and one of the most famous lakes is Lake Hillier in Western Australia. This is a photo of Lake Hillier the most popular pink lake in Australia
Pink lakes are made of more salt and more agile than ordinary lakes. The pink lakes are more tolerant to the agile and salt and it produces carotenoids you will want to go to one and you can but there are a lot of salt so do not drink it so it will keep you above the water but some of the pink lakes are no longer pink because of it Ecosystems and Ecosystems is a palace where living thing.
Pink lakes are fascinating and there are 49 of them in the world and they are mostly in Australia. I have looked at them and they are fascinating. I have been wondering, “Why are some lakes pink? That is what we are going to talk about today.Lakes are a bottle of water that do not go in the sea they are also freshwater and some salt it has changing the color to pink
There are pink lakes all over the world.

Step 1: Coming up with a Good Question…
Now that you have picked out a topic that you like and that you are interested in, it’s time to write a question or identify a problem within that topic. To give you an idea of what we mean you can start off by filling in the question blanks with the following list of words:
The Effect Question:
What is the effect of _________________________ on ___________________________?
sunlight on the growth of plants
eye color pupil dilation
brands of soda a piece of meat
temperature the size of a balloon
oil a ramp
The How Does Affect Question:
How does the ______________________________ affect _________________________?
color of light
Humidity
color of a material
the growth of plants
the growth of fungi
its absorption of heat
The Which/What and Verb Question
Which/What ______________________________ (verb) __________________________?
paper towel is most absorbent
foods do mealworms prefer
detergent makes the most bubbles
paper towel is strongest
peanut butter tastes the best
Now it’s Your Turn:
Create your Science Fair question using either the “Effect Question”, the “How does Affect Question” or the “Which/What and Verb Question”:
How does the size of a ball affect the bounceability?
What do you want to find out?
Will the ball bounce beater if it is bigger or smaller
We want to find out the different tips and bounceability of each ball.
Draw a labelled diagram.
……………
Basketball
rugby
Tennisball
Tuesday
120 cm
75 cm
72 cm
Wed
119 cm
80 cm
60 cm
Thurs
124 cm
65 cm
55 cm
What are you going to do?
We are going to drop the different balls at the same high with a meter ruler and we will drop a basketball ball and tennis ball rugby ball then drop the balls over Caleb’s head and from the
What do you think will happen?
We think that it will bounce go a above 150 cm
What happened?
The basketball bounces the highest with a average of 120 cm
What things will you change?
We bounce above my head (Finn hanniman) and not Caleb and use different balls like a netball, soccer ball and a small ball and then see how high the balls will be.
What things will you keep the same?
We always use the same balls and we
We will have the same partners to do the bounceability because
What happened after the changes?
It had gone up more because I am taller
What did you find out?
That the bigger the ball is the high
How does a sea turtle become an adult?
A sea turtle is a reptile that lives in a marine environment. It has four fins and a big, hard shell. Sea turtles can live for 80 to 100 years. They are born on land and have to run to the sea to grow up into adults. Not all of them survive. There are many types of sea turtles, like green-backed sea turtles. The most common sea turtle is the Olive Ridley Turtle. There are 800,000. Sea turtles help maintain the health of seagrass beds and coral reefs that benefit all of us. They are wonderful reptiles that have lived on this earth for 150 million years. Sea turtles lay little eggs before they hatch. It can take up to two months or longer to hatch, and then they are the size of your hand. 50 to 150 eggs are laid, but only 80% survive is the most eastamidid . If the sand is colder, the eggs are more likely to be male; if it is hot, the eggs are more likely to be female but not 100 %.
When they hatch there, they have to dig out of the egg, and there are a lot of praders trying to eat them, so they have to dash to the sea. A lot of sea turtles do not make it, but the ones that get to swim down to the sea have to find a home.
They have to find a home. If the sea turtle is not getting a home, then oli and pollution, plastic bags, and more will kill them, and that will be a catastrophe. They will find a home, and it is most likely to be in a marine environment with some rocks, but there are a lot of predators in the sea, like big sharks and more like ghost crabs when they are baby sea turtles. The baby sea turtle is now an adult so they need to reproduce.
The sea turtle has gone to find a mate.
